As 2007 rolled along the show went to 2 days and then 4 days a week, two hours a day. More and more guests came on the show and quickly the show expanded to levels that we could not even have dreamed of so quickly. Alas the Chat Pack saw some folks come and go from the radio group we all worked at and by April 2008 all of us had decided to take our talents elsewhere. The show immediately stopped broadcasting with our departures.
But the success of the show was too great and the pull to bring that show to not only VT and Northern NY ears but to the whole country, was more than we could resist. So now here we are, June 2009 and Sports Talk with the Chat Pack has been reborn!
This is the new home of Sports Talk with the Chat Pack and we are so very pleased that you have come by to check us out. We plan on becoming the best Sports Talk show in AMERICA and we aim to bring you more and more variety with our broadcasts, as we move forward. Sports Talk with the Chat Pack started May 25th, 2007 as Vermont's one and only live and local radio sports talk show. The show began as a one day week, two hour sports talk show with a heavy dose of football, mix of all other sports and a sense of humor that belied the true nature of all sports fans. In no time the show was a hit.

Sports Talk with the Chat Pack
John has a passion for sports that goes beyond what you hear from most talk show hosts. He has no interest in handing out the same tired, rehashed opinions that many sports talk show hosts deliver but instead speaks from the heart and speaks directly to the sports talk fan and sports fan in a way that they themselves would speak about sports.
Mel is the "Velvet" voice of the show and a long time voice guy and production person in both radio and tv. Where John brings the deep rooted knowledge of sports, Mel brings the smooth talk, quick wit and soothing sound to the show that helps offset John's passion for sports. Mel is a big fan and knowledgeable about a number of sports but he also brings the ties to everyday life and other interests that keep the show lively and always moving forward!
